Event Description

Nature Packs is a fun activity for the whole family, and it’s free! Get out and explore the natural wonders of Bachechi Open Space. Packs allow families to explore wildlife, bugs, trees, wetlands, birds, and animal tracking.

The packs are ideal for five to ten-year-olds, and pre-school packs are available for three to four-year-olds. It’s easy. You just check out a backpack that is full of all the things you need to explore, including guides, hands-on supplies, and activity sheets. A pack for the senses other than sight is also available.

Where do you get the Nature Packs?

The Bachechi Environmental Education Building located at 9521 Rio Grande Boulevard NW (corner of Alameda and Rio Grande Boulevard).

When can you get the Nature Packs?

Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from June 21 through August 16, 2014.

For additional information or to reserve a pack for another time, contact calangan@bernco.gov, or call (505) 314-0398 during the week. Teachers can also e-mail bcnaturepacks@gmail.com for additional information or to schedule a classroom visit.
