Big Band Extravaganza!
Mark your calendars for
Menaul School’s first
Big Band Extravaganza
on February 21st at 7 p.m.! Come in your best 1940’s attire,
and dance the night away. The Extravaganza is free, and refreshments
will be served. There will be raffles, prizes, classic cars and more. It's happening in the cafeteria at Menaul School. Come by for a swing dance lesson at 6:15 and learn how to swing dance. Enjoy dancing in a "supper club" like the ones so popular in the 1940s!
Hear classics such as "The Woodchoppers Ball" and "Route 66. The evening's performers
include the Menaul Jazz Band and area music teachers such as John Truitt on saxophone and Hovey Corbin on drums. Both are from Albuquerque Academy. You'll also see the Menaul Tap Dancers, and the Menaul School Choir singing "Berkley Square".
