Patricia Smith Wood will be signing her first mystery novel, The Easter Egg Murder, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Treasure House Books & Gifts in Old Town Albuquerque.
The mystery is loosely based on the real-life murder of Cricket Coogler in 1949 in Las Cruces, NM. The murderer of this young woman was never discovered, but several people went to federal prison as a result of things discovered afterwards. This book uses that event as a springboard to tell an interesting fictional story of intrigue, danger, and bad guys getting what they deserve.
