NM 430 classical repertoire on historical instruments
NM430 is one of New Mexico's most accomplished chamber groups specializing in performing classical repertoire on historically accurate instruments. Comprising four musicians with considerable experience working with historical instruments, the members of NM430 have performed extensively throughout North America and Europe with some of the world's leading baroque and classical ensembles.
The historically informed performance movement has helped to bring new insights to the some of the world's most beloved and continuously performed repertoire, helping audiences and performers (whether
they chose to use historically accurate instruments or not) to see the music in a new light, and with greater depth. NM430 members are MaryAnn Shore, oboe, Stephen Redfield, violin, Gail Robertson, viola, and Katie Rietman, cello.
This week’s poet is Maggie Evans, whose poems have appeared or are forthcoming (also as Meagan Evans) in “Sentence,” “cream city,” “ Colorado Review,” “Bellingham Review,” “Black Warrior Review,” “DIAGRAM,” “InDigest,” “THRUSH,” and others. She recently completed a PhD in American poetics at the University of Oregon, and she now lives in the hills outside Albuquerque.
