One of my favorite events of the season -- in Albuquerque. Hoping they don't get the wrong kind of rain up north.

Scrubbed off the car then stood soaking wet and shook fists at the sky in victory :-)  Enjoyed watching the gang of kids from across the street running around getting wet.  Felt so refreshing to get soaked !!

Oh noes!! FIGURES!!  I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, right now, and today's been the hottest day of the year!!!   I hope there's still a little trickle by the time I fly back in tomorrow!  *sigh*

ah, the limitations of video footage....no smell! ha ha. what a great idea for an "event." :) @Ania: it never occurred to me. 9 month olds and younger born in ABQ may have never smelled rain before until today. wow...

Was working on my front porch all day yesterday and had just started into the kitchen to make dinner when I saw the rain coming down! The whole family headed to the front porch to watch the rain - waving at our neighbors in Barelas, who were all on their porches doing the same thing...
