Mediums, musical numbers and ectoplasm make for a supernatural spectacle at Albuquerque Little Theatre as the Dolls present Noel Coward’s beloved comedy from the beyond, “Blithe Spirit.”
The Dolls, Albuquerque’s premiere drag ensemble, bring out all the fun, fancy and flirtation of the play’s language and plot, which centers around married couple Charles and Ruth, who unexpectedly conjure up the ghost of Charles’ first wife, Elvira, due to the over exuberance of psychic (and psychotic) Madame Bacardi, played in this production with paranormal passion by Tequila Mockingbyrd. Several numbers from the Broadway musical adaptation, “High Spirits,” will manifest for your eyes and ears throughout the show too!
So come experience all tragedy and humor of such unsolved mysteries as spiritualism, death and disembodiment, and heterosexual marriage as only the Dolls can summon.
