Event Description

When General José Juan Reyes (Pedro Armendáriz) takes the town of Puebla and sets about confiscating land from the rich to support his guerrilla army, he encounters the beautiful and wild Beatriz Peñafiel (María Félix), daughter of one of the town's richest men, in a story inspired by Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.

Spanish with English subtitles.
