¡Globalquerque! presents a day of educational, fun-filled, cultural activities and outreach created in collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center's Education Department. The entire NHCC campus comes alive with dance, music, workshops, films and hands-on activities for the young and the inquisitive of all ages. Global Fiesta activities and presentations are geared towards both children and adults. There is something for everyone! And it's all FREE!
Dig deeper into the ¡Globalquerque! experience as festival performers present workshops and demonstrations on their music and culture in intimate, interactive settings. Participate in a variety of international dance lessons (and try out your new moves later during the evening concerts), add your own groove to our welcoming drum circle, play with a plethora of cool instruments at our Planet Music where the only rule is "please touch!" and help create a Community Seed Mural with SEEDS: A Collective Voice.
It's also a great place to introduce kids to many facets of world culture as they enjoy a variety of hands-on craft projects and musical playgrounds like Instrument Building for Kids of All Ages and an opportunity to create international crafts from places like Cuba, Guatemala, Tajikstan and Trinidad! Then there is the ever-popoular ¡GlobalCookie! Decorating Contest…!
And of course the Global Village of Craft Culture & Cuisine will be open with international food, art, artisan crafts and much more!
Oh, and did we mention it is FREE?
