Comprising three diverse and seasoned artists who together create a powerhouse sound, hONEyhoUSe features Albuquerque’s award winning R&B/ Gospel soulstress Hillary Smith; earthy blues/folk singer-songwriter and guitarist, Yvonne Perea; and from Red River, NM, vocalist, Mandy Buchanan. The three singers meld various musical genres into original creations that embrace blues, soul, folk and Americana, and their debut CD, SUN (2011) won Best Album Of the Year at the NM Music Awards. They return to celebrate the release of their second CD, Medicine Lodge. Opening the evening is Bébé La La, featuring singer- songwriter, guitarist and violist, Alicia Ultan and, from Quebec, singer-accordionist Maryse Lapierre. With signature harmonies that “slip easily into the ear,” (Mel Minter, Albuquerque The Magazine) the duo performs folk- Americana originals, French ballads and more.
