Event Description

Bernalillo County Open Space, The Albuquerque Astronomical Society and 103.7 The Oasis present a FREE Star Party. This fun family event will include a talk on astronomy, kids’ activities, solar scope set up during the daylight hours, powerful telescopes for viewing the evening stars and free prizes. There will be a live broadcast by 103.7 The Oasis and acoustic guitar performance by Ambrose Rivera. Bring your picnic blanket and dinner and enjoy a night under the stars.

Part of the Bernalillo County Open Space Program’s ‘Naturalist Series.’  Awaken your senses to the natural world around you by observing the wondrous plants and animals in the Bosque and learn from local experts about this extraordinary ecosystem. The series takes place at Bachechi Open Space located at 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. Parking is available at the Alameda parking area. The workshops are FREE; however, space is limited and participations must register.  Register online at www.bernco.gov/openspace.  Contact Bernco Open Space Program Coordinator Colleen Langan-McRoberts with any questions at 505-314-0398 or calangan@bernco.gov.
