Choreographer/ Dancer/ Musical Arranger, Jesus Muñoz has choreographed for Maria Benitez' final season of Teatro Flamenco, toured extensively with the New York City based flamenco dance company, Carlota Santana's Flamenco Vivo, co-directed the Detroit-based, La Chispa and Company and recently performed as a soloist for the New York City exhibit, 100 years of Flamenco in New York City at Lincoln Center in 2013. The choreographer for Rudolfo Anaya's Rosalinda, he also created a piece for the National Hispanic Cultural Center, entitled Red Note. Muñoz is one of few Flamenco choreographers/dancers in the world to elaborate on primitive rhythms and because of this, his Red Note piece was published by the ministry of Dance and Culture in Madrid, Spain. He created his own company, Jesus Muñoz Flamenco in 2007 and two years later, he founded the non-profit Flamenco school, Casa Flamenca. For his show at Outpost he will be joined by vocalist, Jose Cortes; guitarist, Ricardo Diaz; and dancer, Valeria Montes in a performance of original music from Diaz's Travesuras album, plus more.
