Event Description

On Thursday, Feb. 27, join us at Yanni’s from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for “Lights, Camera, Action: A New Mexico Success Story.” We will hear from Ann Lerner with the City of Albuquerque Film Office and Nick Maniatis with the New Mexico Film Office.

New Mexico for Wyoming in Longmire and Albuquerque for Texas in Killer Women – the Land of Enchantment continues to star on the big screen. Lerner and Maniatis will share insider information about how they are leading efforts to grow the film, TV and advertising production business in New Mexico, regardless of where the action is supposed to be taking place. They’ll provide insight into their successful strategies for communicating our state’s and region’s assets, which have been seen around-the-world through TV series like Breaking Bad and films like The Lone Ranger.

Lerner and Maniatis will offer their thoughts on what makes our state such a hot spot for filming and how this success results in a positive image and economic growth for the state. They also will discuss their proven marketing and PR strategies, which have led to jobs and business opportunities for New Mexicans.

Tickets are $30 for New Mexico PRSA members, $35 for non-members, $15 for students. Payment will be accepted at the door, or register online here
