Enjoy an afternoon of time-honored New Mexico folk traditions featuring some of the state’s most celebrated performers, who embody the living tradition of New Mexico music. The concert will be curated by Enrique Lamadrid and performers will include: Frank McCulloch, Antonia and José Apodaca, Miguelito Romero, Coro de San José led by Ray Pérez, David Garcia and Brenda Romero.
All events are FREE. Tickets are required and can be picked up at the NHCC beginning at 2PM.
Come early to learn more about John Donald Robb and how he collected nearly 3,000 folk songs in the mid-20th Century. Hands-on opportunities will explore the Robb Musical Archive, housed at the UNM Center for Southwest Research and more.
