The March meeting of the New Mexico Postcard Club will be held Saturday, March 28. A presentation will be given by Ty Bannerman, who will talk about his recently-released book Forgotten Albuquerque. He will have copies of his book available for sale and signing, and also will bring along for sale the special packs of postcards that were issued in conjunction with the publication of his book.
Ty is a freelance writer, amateur historian and Albuquerque native. Upon returning to his native city in 2007, he set about learning more about his home town and recording his discoveries on his blog at www.forgottenabq.blogspot.com.. He was surprised to discover that this often-forgotten western city has a fascinating history. Forgotten Albuquerque is his first book.
The meeting, which is free to the public, will be held from 2 to 4pm in Albuquerque in Botts Hall at the Albuquerque Public Library's Special Collections Department, 423 Central NE (at Edith), just east of downtown.
