Event Description

Chabad of New Mexico will Celebrate its 20th Chanukah public Menorah lighting and Chanukah Celebration on December 20th, 2011.

The event begins at 4 pm…the first evening of Chanukah!

Mayor Richard J. Berry will light up the largest Menorah in the state on Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza in downtown Albuquerque. The celebration will continue inside Albuquerque’s Convention Center with live music by the Pink Flamingos, accompanied by the Israeli folk singer legend who sings in Hebrew, Yoel Sharabi!

A tasty traditional Jewish dinner prepared by Chef Rick Pedram. will be served.

Kids will enjoy clowns and face-painters. And those who entered the Art & Poem Contest, based on the theme, "What Does Chanukah Mean to Me?" will have their entries on display.

Cost for everything is: $10 Adults, $6 children, $25 for family.

The cost includes entry, food and entertainment.
