Experience a glorious evening of sumptuous melodies and sound -- Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 performed by Ukrainian pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk, plus Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe Suites No. 1 & 2, all under the baton of French conductor Hélène Bouchez. Alexander Gavrylyuk has twice been a prize winner at the Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kiev and has performed with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Melbourne Symphony. Hélène Bouchez appears as a guest conductor of orchestras around the world and has also conducted the National Symphony Orchestra and Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Pre-concert lecture by Ms. Boucjes at 5:00 p.m.
