New Mexico state botanist Daniela Roth will discuss her twelve years of researching the status and distribution of rare plants for the Navajo Nation Natural Heritage Program, three years working in endangered plant recovery and conservation for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in southern Utah, and one year working on rare and endangered plant documentation and research in New Mexico.
A short Native Plant Society of New Mexico (Albuquerque) chapter meeting precedes the talk. Native plant books will be on display and available for purchase. More information about the organization is available at www.npsnm.org.
