At the time of the 9/11 attacks, APG member and Native New Mexican Eric O'Connell had just moved to New York City. When the news of a plane crashing into the one of the towers hit, Eric's photojournalistic training drove him to grab his camera and run straight into the maw of madness. He narrowly escaped death that day when the South Tower fell.
This month at The Albuquerque Photographers' Gallery, a limited selection of images from ground zero taken by Eric will be on display. Viewer discretion is advised, but these powerful images of such a terrible moment in American history are not to be missed. Please join us Wednesday, September 11th from 5:30-8:30 for a reception.
