Guillermo Figueroa leads Mozart’s Divertimento
Mozart's Divertimento in B-flat Major, K. 287 is a spirited and sublime work of epic proportions, yet scored for only 6 players. Guillermo Figueroa leads the ensemble from the violin, tackling a first violin part of astounding virtuosity; a task he is sure to perform with the commitment and flair that has brought him world-wide recognition.
This week’s poet is Dale Harris. Harris’s poems have been widely anthologized. She is the associate editor for “The Malpaís Review,” a poetry quarterly. Her poetry and music CD’s are available online at CD Baby and a number of digital distribution sites. She also sings with the New Mexico Celtic Singers. Dale’s art interests include printmaking, book arts, and pottery.
Sunday Chatter Admission prices are $15 regular, $9 for those under 30, and $5 for children under 12. The Frequent Attender Pass gives patrons 11 admissions for the price of 10 and can be purchased at the Chatter website, www.sundaychatter.org
Comment by Princess Peussie on December 18, 2012 at 2:05pm It was interesting to read that Dale Harris sings with some celtic groups. I love that kind of music and sing a certain amount of Celtic tunes accompanying myself on my small "Deuternana" harp designed for me in OBerhausen. I hope to give a solo recital here soon.
