Event Description

The Japan America Society of New Mexico, Inc. (JASNM) will sponsor a buffet lunch and presentation by Ambassador William Itoh, who served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand from 1995-1999.  Ambassador Itoh will talk on “East Asia - Current Political, Economic, Social Issues and Future Trends”.  Prior to his appointment to Bangkok, he was Executive Secretary of the National Security Council at the White House (1993-1995).  He also served in the U.S. Embassy in London (1976-1978) and as the U.S. Consul General to Western Australia in Perth (1986-1990).
