Edwin Land was an inventor, businessman, war contractor, passionate follower of the arts, and inventor of Polaroid camera. Learn about the life of this enigmatic genius in a talk by Dr. Victor McElheny of MIT.
Victor K. McElheny is a distinguished science writer whose work has appeared in The Charlotte Observer, Science magazine, The Boston Globe and The New York Times. At The Times during the 1970s, he founded one of the first technology columns in American newspapers. His books include Insisting on the Impossible: The Life of Edwin Land; Watson and DNA: Making a Scientific Revolution; and Drawing the Map of Life: Inside the Human Genome Project. This program is jointly presented by The Palace of the Governors and The Albuquerque Museum.
