Ted Kerasote, the author of “Merle’s Door,” will discuss his newest book, “Pukka’s Promise: The Quest For Longer-Lived Dogs,” which looks at the evolutionary reasons for dogs being a short-lived species and then examines how we can extend our dogs’ lives by the care we give them.
