After a successful reunion show in Lubbock, Texas on May 17th, the legendary New Mexico Rock & Roll band, The Planets, are reuniting once again for a one-night-only concert at the El Rey Theater in Albuquerque on October 3rd, 2009. The concert will be dedicated to the Planets guitar player, the late, great Joe Don Davidson who passed away on April 1st, 2009.
The Planets were a musical institution throughout the Southwest from 1975 through 1985 and this will be the first time the Planets have performed in Albuquerque in almost twenty-five years and it will be the first time in thirty-two years that the Planets' original founding members have performed together. Playing will be Steve Morelock, Denise Brissey-Cohen, Carl Silva, Debbie Blakely-Eaton and Davis McLarty. Also playing will be the newest member of the Planets, the late Joe Don Davidson's son, Justyn, on guitar and Mark Paden on bass.

The show will be opened by the Planets long-time friends, Cadillac Bob and the Rhinestones, a legendary Albuquerque band in their own right. Tickets are $20. Box Office opens at 6:30pm. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will start at 8:00pm.
