Venus in Fur is a funny and erotic take on the battle of the sexes with a slightly kinky twist. A playwright/ director is desperate to find an actress to play Vanda, the female lead in his adaptation of the classic sadomasochistic tale Venus in Furs. Enter Vanda Jordan, a vulgar, frantic actress who missed her audition hours ago. The young actress seems at first to have no chance of landing the part, but slowly proves herself a talent and a force to match the director. A provocative, sexy drama that represents yet another departure for the multifaceted David Ives, writer of All in the Timing.
