What's going on, Albuquerque?

Any fun girly places to celebrate a B-day on a Wednesday night?

I'm looking to celebrate my 29th birthday somewhere on Wednesday evening with some of my fellow stay at home mom friends. My ideal place would have pretty pink roses and peonies in vintage mason jars with twinkling white fairy lights hung about and some pretty robbins egg blue/green gauze fabric hanging from the ceiling and some comfy sofas to chill on while chatting and eating pretty little cupcakes. I don't think there's a place like that here in Albuquerque (outside of my imagination at least!), so I'm looking for suggestions for something else. Any ideas? I LOVE how Cupcakecology is decorated and their cupcakes are the best, but they close at 6pm. Any other suggestions?

The St. James tearoom has the atmosphere you describe (& very tasty finger foods), but I don't think they are open in the evenings. You should check them out some afternoon if you get a chance.

Slate Street Cafe is open in the evening & has cupcakes (& again tasty appetizers/finger foods), but it lacks the cozy, girly atmosphere. Nice wine bar if you're interested in that.

Flying Star would be another option for hanging out & eating desserts. The one in Corrales has some sofas on the outdoor patio.

The Daily Grind. They have a super cute patio out back and also a little sunroom to the side. I bet you could reserve it. And they just started opening for dinner...hmmmm...but it might be thur-sat only? Not sure.
