I just got back from Chicago and was wondering if anyone knew of an Albuquerque place that does Chicago style stuffed pizza, (see my photo below from my trip last week)? The crust is yummy like a lightly buttered biscuit and easily crumbles in your mouth, the pizza is stuffed with delicious cheese and sausage, etc., then topped with a delicious plum tomato tasting sauce. I looked on Pizza 9's website because it says they do Chicago style pizza, but none of the pictures look like what I'm used to Chicago style pizza being. Any suggestions?

No suggestions? :(

Not that I know of.  There is an Uno's in Las Cruces.  There used to be a place called Carmen's that served Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.

Then there is this...http://www.bizjournals.com/albuquerque/news/2013/10/21/chicago-base...

Opening some time this summer.

Oh and we order from Gino's a couple times a year.

I wish. Carmen's was my fave Pizza in Albuquerque, but alas, they've been closed for a decade now. Uno's, in Las Cruces, while a pretty good pizza, is also a weak substitute for the kind of deep dish you are craving. Gino's East is the bomb. I've never ordered their mail-order frozen pizza, Ramon, how is it?

It is awesome.  You have to check their shipping guide.  Two day shipping.  It comes packed with dry ice and with instructions.  We are pleased with it.  Though it's not cheap.  $20 for shipping but we order 2 at a time. Worth it for a couple times a year.

Funny you should ask: you'll have to be patient a little while longer, but this place is opening at San Mateo & McLeod sometime this summer. I'm not familiar with them, but they're a chain from Chicago so I imagine they know what they're doing...

Try a Papa Murphys Chicago stuffed crust.  Yummy!

Ah, lasagna with the bread attached and no noodles... Originally an east coast guy I had a deep mistrust for deep dish until I went to Chicago and had a few. It'll never replace a proper pizza, but DD is some pretty seriously good stuff. It'll be interesting to see what Rosati's does once they open here. While you are waiting, make sure you try the thin crust pie at La Cumbre (in the truck outside). Top notch pizza. Just sayin'
