A friend of a friend of a friend of mine mentioned to me recently that
there was a movie theater in Albuquerque (or the near environs) that
was haunted, possibly by the spirit of a woman who died from choking
or asphyxiation during a movie.

Does anyone in the know on DCF remember hearing anything about this?

I'm asking for research purposes, not for any morbid fascination, in case one should
let that thought enter their mind.

Here's a source, and it's even from the government.

Kimo's Ghost
In the highly superstitious theater world it is generally accepted that all theaters have at least one ghost; thus we have ghost lights burning when not otherwise occupied. Of course, it's a practical matter more than anything else nowadays, but the name "ghost light" persists.

@Tom O'Connell: Sunshine Theater used to be an honest-to-deity-of-your-choice theater v. performance venue. It had a pretty creepy feeling to me before that murder years ago.
Asphyxiation? by popcorn to you suppose?
The Kimo Theatre is the only one I know about - but the ghost is supposedly that of a 10 or 12 year old boy. There is a "shrine" behind the stage for offerings to be left in his honor.
The Wool Warehouse on First Street is said to be haunted by a man in a white suit. It was used as a theater a few years back.
