Does anyone remember: at the Double Rainbow in Nob Hill, before it became Flying Star, in the west part of the building, or even maybe it was a different store, but next to DR maybe there was a door that went through, there was a toy store, and you could buy coffee beans there. Sort of like Satelitte. Maybe it was Satelitte? Anyone remember and can clarify this for me? Thanks.

Yes, it was an early incarnation of Satellite. Then they moved it across the street. Then they built a bunch more of them all around the city.
And then they turned into SATAN!

Kidding, I'm kidding.
It was originally called Double Rainbow Coffee Roasters: toys, drinks and coffee roasted on site.
Oh, yes. When my husband (then fiance) and I moved to Albuquerque in June 1996, we were looking at apartments in Nob Hill and ducked into the then Double Rainbow for an iced tea. Little did we know that the visit would begin a 14-year-and-counting love affair. The original Satellite location in Nob Hill had awesome wind-up toys and unique gifts. I bought a Swatch Flik-Flak in there, as well as this little wooden mountain climber on a string that was made in Germany. Ah, memories.
