Howdy all!  I've got a friend coming to visit for several days, and am wondering--

What's your favorite thing to show visitors about Albuquerque?  or do with visitors?  We'll have a Balloon Fiesta day, and probably a visit to Taos and Santa Fe, but I've got a couple more days to fill up!

I don't know if she likes to hike but, Ghost Ranch has excellent hiking with amazing landscape. Plus, you could go on a tour of Georgia O'Keefe's home while you're there!

Number one thing to do in ABQ is take the trolley ride! These guys are fun and informative-even for locals-you see downtown, old town, tingley beach, nob hill....

If you want to do the historic thing, the Albuquerque museum will do a walking tour of old town from time to time. You can call them and see if and when it happens. Another favorite is to take them to the rattlesnake museum in old town. The tram is also a favorite, but it's always a good idea to call and see if they are running, always closes when the winds are at a certain speed through the canyon it goes over.

The Frontier for breakfast.  Everyone else says the breakfast burrito is the thing to have there.  I disagree.  I like their incomparable Huevos Rancheros with Cheese and Green Chile Stew.

Then, the Sandia Crest is always good if you have healthy people who can stand the thin air and the walk up the last block.  If not, take them out on Central Ave. west of town to Nine Mile Hill, and look back.  The Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is a great place, too.

Good food is always a big attraction.  Downscale, there is the aforementioned Frontier, and El Modelo on 2nd St south--the thing to get there is their incomparable stewed ribs.  Then there are upscale places like Paisanos on Eubank, and Salo in Nob Hill, the Slate Street Cafe, and CoolWater on Wyoming near Northeasern.  For family eating, the Range Cafe is incomparable.  They offer burgers and mac and cheese for the kids, fine dining for the adults.

If they're dog lovers, I take them to one of Albuquerque's incomarable dog parks.  I was not a big fan of Marty Chavez's (I am critical of him from his left, not his right), but you have to give him the quintupling of our dog parks as one of his premier achievements.

And finally, get a little perch in a parking lot just east of Tramway, and relax and watch the sunset most any night.

I would really check on Slot canyon and tent rocks before you go out there, they also sustained heavy fire damage. Acoma is a good vote, but if you're headed up North anyway...I would hit Chama and the Cumbres and Toltec. You just might catch the tail end of the Aspens changing.
