Grasshoppers in and around the Duke City are fooling weather radar now.

According to NOAA, the grasshopper migration on the West Mesa is so significant that it's actually appearing on their weather radar like precipitation:

All's I know is that the roadrunners in my neighborhood are loving the grasshopper explosion.  Not to mention my cats--and likely other birds as well.

My kitties have been bringing in grasshoppers and chasing them around the house!
