If I may...my work is in divorce mediation, and of the nearly one thousand divorces I've assisted many were in the military. I'm handling one right now where the husband is in Korea, and I'm doing the mediation via Skype.

if it is in any way an amicable split, a Dissolution would be much better than a Divorce and MUCH cheaper; attorneys do NOT deserve 5 grand or more just because a couple decides to split.

Divorce is a much different legal arrangement than Dissolution. Seek good counsel.
