Maybe they'll get married and have pocket bikes!
Bikes aren't allowed to effervesce. It's the rules.

LOL

I sowwy .. the butter flavored crisco fell out from under my fender ... I wondered where that went .. Thought I'd used it all up during that romp in the woods ... now I know the truth ... forgive me ?? :-)
And don't ride behind David when parts are flying off his bike or you may be decapitated.

I would say avoid the 795 cruiser/tourer/whatever period. I love it when motorcycle magazines say "... this bike hides it's weight well..." You cannot hide weight from gravity.
I know, I've heard it all before. But the fact is weight is weight. I rode the White Rim Trial in Canyonlands with a friend of mine. I was on my KLR650 and he was on his 1100GS. My bike has a low CG he would brag. At the end of the day, after wrestling his 600lb BMW with low CG around 140 miles of dirt trail, he needed more beer from Eddie McStiffs and Advil than I did.
Your right Kenny, but you know someone will try.
37. If it feels too fast, it probably is.
Some folks haul ass. Some folks are just plain slow. Most are in the middle somewhere. IOW, if you don't feel comfortable taking that off camber hairpin at 80mph, don't do it. Take time to build up to it. Trackdays are really good for this.
I'm a firefighter. I'd say 95% of the motorcycle deaths I see are because of excessive speed. Hands down. Last guy I had was going too fast around a curve. Left his buddy in the dust. When we found him, he was 100 feet off the road. When I got to him, I knelt beside him, he grabbed my arm and just looked into my eyes. I was the last person he saw on this earth. Be careful out there!
For newbies in the twisties: don't lean your whole body in a turn. Press down with your buttbone on the side toward the direction you're turning and let your waist bend naturally. You've seen the racers who put their knee down on the pavement in corners... you don't have to do that, but think about the weighting. This made a huge difference for me when I was learning to do twisties. Try it just zigzagging in the lane and you'll see - just weight one side and then the other while countersteering.
I always wondered why some people wore full leathers and no helmet.

I've learned from Emergency Department doctors at UNM Hospital that it is better to wear body protection and no helmet than to wear a helmet with no protective gear for your body and hands. In the first scenario if you crash, you die right away. In the latter example, your skin is burned off and you live; wishing you'd died.
