Does anyone know of a good source for free boxes for moving?  Any stores you know that have a good supply of clean ones?

We need a lot and would rather find the bulk of them for free.

Thanks!

Import stores like World Market and Pier 1 often have great boxes, wide variety of shapes too.  There's also a cardboard recycling area behind Nob Hill's La Montanita in the middle of the parking lot- varying quality, though.

Thanks Brendan!

I tried Craiglist earlier this week and there was nothing...I will head over to these places this afternoon.

we hit up tuesday morning for a month prior to our move here from LA.

get to know their delivery schedule and you can get the good boxes.

Awesome!

Borders is usually more than happy to allow you access to their recycling bin. We've used them on a number of occasions. The boxes are always clean and sturdy.
Excellent...we have a lot of books to help so those would be perfect!

Great idea!

Thanks everyone---packing is in full swing!

We found boxes at a Starbucks dumpster near Cottonwood when we moved from Rio Rancho to Albuquerque. I've seen folks snag boxes at the recycle dumpsters behind Walmart on Carlisle.
