Now that Papers! has closed in Nob Hill, does anyone have any suggestions of where I can buy beautiful Japanese, Indian and Italian paper in town?  I really miss being able to buy from them!

There's that one Stationary store, Pennysmith's, on Rio Grande in the shopping center where Flying Star and Bookworks is at

I miss them too and was just wondering where I'm gonna find the paper I want for a new project. I know that Artisans on Monte Vista sells a lot of lovely papers, but not the yuzen that I loved so much from Papers. I still haven't found a local source for that. (There's always online, where the prices are really low, but you have to pay for shipping and you don't get to actually feel the papers. I've had luck with papersource, which also has Indian, Thai and Nepali papers.)

hettie, I love papersource and also buy from Paper Mojo and have just found this goldmine of paper in NYC.  I have a friend going to NY and said she'd get some paper for me. If you are interested, let me know and I can have her pick some up for you too.  Cost Plus World Market has some single sheets of Indian paper in the card and wrapping paper section.

Monica, I love Pennysmith's.  They have beautiful Italian wrapping paper, but no lotka paper or Japanese washi.

Maybe someone will open up another paper store in town!

Ooh, Paper Mojo looks great! Thanks for the tip!

Someone told me that Artisans in Santa Fe has a great selection of papers. Anyone been up there lately? I know the selection at Artisans here in ABQ is not that big.
