We've got some Gleeks in my family, so after tonight's show I started reminiscing about my high school days nights of driving to Hollywood to catch the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Is there anywhere in the Albuquerque area where people can catch the show today?

Keep your eye out for a very special Rocky Horror in May :)
Details, please! I'm willing to buy tickets NOW. Gathering my props...
I can't resist -- I fell in with a gang of Highland High people -- me from the Golden Ghetto -- and we went to Rocky Horror every weekend in '78, '79 and a bit of '80. I think it was at the Lobo -- that's the old one across from UNM, right? Or the Guild? It was tiny. I remember renting the movie in the late 1980s so my then-fiance could see what it was about. Flipped out. Good riddance. There was little unruliness other than the stuff we carried around with us.
The Guild is showing The Horde (Zombies, zombies, zombies) this weekend as a midnight movie. It will show at 10pm and again at midnight. Some of their upcoming midnight movies include Alex Cox's Straight To Hell, the sci-fi cult film Monster, the so-bad-it's-good Troll 2, and the surreal black comedy Idiot's and Angles. New midnight movie memories waiting to be made.

I can't wait for the Rocky Horror event in May.
We don't have all of the details nailed down yet, but we will make the announcement here first! Also if you are interested in midnight movies this weekend, we are screening Psycho at midnight on Saturday as part of out Hitchcock Festival!
The Lobo Theatre years were my favorite. Twice a year, usually - with an especially big [sellout] crowd on Halloween weekend. Billy Garberina will forever remain the RHPS MC master.
That was Mike something-or-other. He had a job in computers and made a brief cameo appearance in Collecting Rooftops, Bill's first movie.
BB: Here's a show that might be a little sooner: http://infohost.nmt.edu/~kscott/rocky/

They also mentioned a show that I saw at the Highland Theater in 2003 put on by the Music Theater Southwest, with quite a fetching Janet:

Dr. Frank-N-Furter:

I'll tell you once
I won't tell you twice
You'd better wise up, Janet Weiss
Your apple pie don't taste too nice
You'd better wise up, Janet Weiss

I've laid the seed, it should be all you need
You're as sensual as a pencil
Wound up like an 'E' or first string
When we made it, did you hear a bell ring?
You got a block, well take my advice
You'd better wise up, Janet Weiss
The Transducer will seduce ya

Janet Weiss:

My feet! I can't move my feet!
Shotsie - you are my hero!
Okay - November 13th. But where and what time????
I moved here from LExington, KY where I was part of "Lexington Lips" the Rocky Horror bast for that are. We would do a midnight showing every month. I would love to get it going here.
