Self promotion on the 'fix

I don't want to cross any lines so I'm asking first. Is it ok to promote myself on my own profile page? For instance, I was thinking of posting a scan of my business card in a personal blog entry along with a short description of what I do.

We admins won't allow hateful or inflammatory stuff to stay up and we sometimes ban super-spammy members who join to promote themselves heavily yet contribute nothing else to the community but for the most part you can post what you'd like on your blog. You've been here for a while and participated in a lot of discussions and none of those negative scenarios fit you. A post like the one you describe won't be promoted to the front page but you're welcome to post it, you might even want to work the info you talked about into your profile itself since members sometimes look at another member's profile but not at that person's posts.
