What's going on, Albuquerque?
Snowshoeing
Looking for someplace close to ABQ. A friend has told me about the areas in Jemez and another told me about the Crest (I wonder if riding the Tram this time of year is a little crazy with the ski area open). We are beginners! But in descent shape.

You can drive up to sandia crest. Than showshoe on the lower trails to the south. Cost $ 3 for parking no change given.

Second that suggestion. We snowshow regularly in the Sandias through March each year. Particularly lovely are the Ellis Trailhead and 10K trail.

You know, the 10K might be nice! If you stay on-trail, it's a bit easier than veering off into deep snow. Enjoy!
