For those not familiar with this tradition, serenatas are for any occasion where one wishes to express his love or appreciation for someone they hold in high esteem. Strolling musicians (often referred to as mariachis) are asked to go to the window of the beloved on his behalf and express his indescribable love through song. Serenades were forever immortalized in classic Mexican cinema where stars such as Pedro Infante or Jorge Negrete standing in a moonlit garden, strumming a guitar, and singing up to their true love.

Los Primos performs serenatas from the early morning hour of 5am until the late midnight hour and anywhere from the “foot of your loved one’s balcony” to your favorite restaurant. Since the instrumentation of this group includes voices and acoustic guitars, they can perform just about anywhere.
