What's going on, Albuquerque?

Wedding Reception Locations - Need Help/Inspiration

Hi,

I would love to get married in Albuquerque (where I live) or surrounding area (Santa Fe, Madrid, etc.), but I cannot find a unique/affordable place to have the reception. I do not want to get have the reception at a hotel ballroom, event center, or other pre-planned place. I would love to have it located at someone's home or other unique place (downtown unfinished loft or other downtown 'older' looking locale, rustic ranch/cabin). The guest list is ~100 people. I want it to feel like an intimate dinner part. Also, I would like to get married in December so an inside location is a must.

If anyone has any ideas whatsoever, I would appreciate it BEYOND words. I have searched for nearly three months and am not inspired by any of the 'regular' wedding reception locatins.

When I looked at Madeline's it was pretty expensive, but obviously that's relative.
I have a coworker who speaks highly of Hacienda Vargas.
The clubhouse at Nature Point looked promising, but we never looked at it in person.
The Presidential Suite at Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe has a LOVELY patio, but I it may be very expensive.

We ended up deciding to get married in Oklahoma so my 89 year old grandmother can make the wedding....if you need any tips on Oklahoma wedding planning I can be more helpful...

Rancho de Corrales has a rustic feel to it. It has a really awesome "Old West" saloon attached to it. I actually had my reception and ceremony there. It was beautiful. The courtyard provides some beautiful photo ops. It does have a haunted history which is fun to tell.
