The first person to post a picture standing in front of one of Albuquerque's many public artworks (must be part of the city's public art collection) will win four vouchers for tickets to any Isotopes baseball game!!!

This probably won't count, because I'm not in the picture, but I'm on my own out here (for the time being)!!  I love ABQs public art!
does this work?

At the zoo! Part of the City of Alb.'s Public Art! :)

(Not sure why it won't rotate, though!)

Here's another one! Love that downtown art! (Though it's not officially me or my family standing there... ah hem.) But we want Isotope tickets! :)

You guys rock! These are all part of the City's public art collection and we appreciate the enthusiasm!

Check out our bi-monthly e-newsletter and our website for more information about the program.

If you are on of the people who posted a picture above please write an e-mail to publicart@cabq.gov so we can coordinate the Isotopes ticket distribution...I'm working hard to get tickets for all of you!

I can't win the tickets, but Spike is still my favorite Albuquerque artwork.
Spike is a popular one! Thanks for posting!
One of my favorite memories from when I lived in Albuquerque was "Spike's Ride".  It was a great fund-raiser bike ride that started and finished at the park by the museum.  I still have a ride T-Shirt with a pic of a guy in full mountain bike gear and a pair of handle-bars sitting atop Spike's head.  As visible in that pic, I don't get to ride nearly enough anymore but that shirt has traveled with me for every move I've made since then.

Good looking family! Thanks for posting!

That piece is called "Abstract Crown Dancer I" by artist Allan Houser.

Thanx . . .

I did not know the name of the work but, the title makes the work even that much more compelling.

Hat's off to Allan!

For more images of Public Art in Albuquerque please visit our Flickr account and download an app called CultureNow. We will try to do more public art contests in the future so stay tuned!

Thanks for being a part of public art!
