Hi Everyone. I wanted to let you know of a great dog-friendly event coming up. The 5th Annual Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk will take place on December 4th at Mariposa Basin Park near the Taylor Ranch Community Center. One of the highlights of the event is the Best Festive Dressed Pet Costume Contest and the prize is worth competing for. Please visit the website for more information.

The Barks and Bubbles Event is taking place Saturday outside TLC Pet Hospital, just north of Menaul on Pennsylvania, this Saturday (the 17th), 10 am to 2 pm. There will be a dog wash ($10) with the proceeds going to Luvin' Labs dog rescue. I'll be out there selling copies of Ginger's Gift: Hope and Healing through Dog Companionship. I'm attaching the flyer with more info. Powdrell's BBQ will be there, too!

Hello all! does anyone know an easier way to keep your puppies area clean than using a gagilion newspapers every day. We have 8 plus our 2 so the work never ends. Totally a labor of love. They are 7 weeks old now. Cutting back on food is one way cause they poop less but their nutrition is more important. I know it will be over soon but I'm going out of town and have to leave a friend to take care of them. I don't want her to be over loaded with the two to three time a day clean up.

We haven't had a problem with fleas and ticks but we check her fur after romps in the brush. We do give a monthly heartworm med except in winter, on advice of our vet at Northview Animal Clinic.

Thanks for the vet recommendations. Do you all do flea and tick protection on your dogs? It is not an issue in Colorado.

For the NE Heights area we've been going to Del Norte Animal Clinic (with Dr. Livingstone) for 20 years and we love it.
