We had a blast! It was fun to experience so many different kinds of instruments -- djembes, djun djun, talking drum, cajon, name it! And I liked learning a few new rhythm patterns. Everyone was so open, friendly and willing to share. A wonderful experience all around! I've got Oct. 9 marked on my calendar. Thanks for organizing this Marshall.

We had a great time at the Westside Drum Circle on Friday (9/11) with about 22 people. That was one of the most energy-packed circles I have yet attended.

Hope to see more of you at our next event on Oct. 9. Check out the website for more info:

Glad it was such a good experience, though I'm not surprised! ;-)

You definitely did the right thing to move here. But have fun visiting old friends!

Yeah, Giselle's class was great. Remember, she's a therapist and she definitely took a theraputic approach in the class starting off with some discussion of drumming principles, some rhythmic exercises to get our bodies tuned in, and finally some simple beats so we could learn to communicate with each other. Besides us, there were Kathy and Camille from the drum circle. She really stresses the importance of maintaining a relaxed body and correct posture. Almost meditative. Unfortunately, Ginnie and I are only going to be in town for the first two classes, then we're off the Seattle to visit old friends and to verify that we did the right thing by moving out.

I can tell that you're busy, so I haven't been pestering you. Take care.

Hey Ken:

Did you go to Giselle's study? Bet it was great! So many things going on right now, so can't add another but maybe in the future! Happy drumming!

John, thanks for the info on the West Side Drum Circle; we live very near Coors and Montano so it will be duck soup for us to get there. I hope we'll see you and Lesley there, too.

Are you guys going to Giselle's Drum Study Group tomorrow, Wednesday? We have signed up for the first two sessions; we plan on being out of town on a road trip back to Seattle for the rest of the month so we'll miss the last two sessions. Hope to see you guys there too.

Experience the release of REIKI energy while drumming. REIKI is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy. REI=universal KI=vital life force energy. REIKI DRUMMING is a powerful tool that boosts the immune system and balances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies simultaneously. The reverberating sound of the drum and the gentle loving flow of REIKI sets sacred space for each participant to access their own bodies ability to heal, balance and harmonize with their highest self. Drumming reminds our body of it's ideal vibratory rate, which is in harmony with the pulse of the Earth and the Universal Flow of Creation. Medical research indicates that group drumming boosts the immune system.

Jackie Addis and Kelly Deschaine are certified USUI REIKI Masters, KARUNA REIKI Masters and REIKI DRUM and REIKI CRYSTAL Practitioners. Both have participated in drumming circles and have been actively drumming for many years.

Bring your own frame drum. Frame drums available for the first eight participants. Please RSVP to Sanjevani Health & Life Style Center at 505-821-6300, 7920 Wyoming Boulevard NE Suite B Alb NM 87109

Ticket Info: $15.00 per person
