My friend from Taiwan does this to her hard boiled eggs to make them salty:
After cooking the eggs, lightly crack the shell all around. Soak the egg(s) overnight or for several days in a salt water and black tea brine.
Does anyone else do this? I think they turn out pretty good, and it solves the problem of packing salt in a lunch for hardboiled eggs.

another way to do it is the same with the lightly cracked shell all around and then soak them in soy sauce.
