I was very active on this board a year and some change ago, when my HOA was prosecuting me for having hens. They ended up taking me to court, trying to sue me for close to $5,000... I ended up being able to settle it in mediation and paying nothing in fines related to the chickens. Yay! However, in the meantime, my chickens had to go into foster care with my niece. She's had them for a year and a half, and now she'd like to get a dog and wants me to move my chickens. So.... any takers on three hens? They're two years old and very, very, very mellow and tame. They used to cozy up in my lap and let me hand feed them raisins... I'd love to have them back home with me but I simply can't due to my HOA and the poopstorm chickens cause here.
Since I was last here, my name has changed to Daniele Kokidajo... and I can be reached at dckokidajo@yahoo.com. Please oh please... I need a loving and safe home for my ladies. This has been a heartbreaking situation and I need to know that they land someplace safe. Thank you for considering providing that place for them! Two aracaunas and one barred roc. :-)

I have a great space for my 5 chickens who live outside all winter but have a large coop at night & free range in about 8x30 foot space all day. Shade, by the ditch, occassionally let out to insect hunt in the yard... pretty good life for a chicken.
