But are they delicious?

and yes, i am sure they are absolutely delicious, if not a tad bit chewy.

What type of Rooster's do you have? Could you post a photo? I have 5 old hens, (3 white leghorns and 2 Rhode Island Reds). The Whites are still just barely laying (1-2 day) and I am considering letting them procreate.... it would be a new adventure for me, and I don't know exactly how to carry it off, but Im considering it. Do I need to match breed-to-breed? Will the rooster kill the babies? So many questions...

hi crista, you are welcome to come by and take a look at these lovely guys.  i am also posting my phone number and can answer any of your rooster questions.  also, posting a link to an old blogpost i wrote about why i love having a rooster as part of my flock to really make you want one...

and some photos...the first one is an early summer '12 mixed breed araucana/barred rock, just about to start crowing, and the second is an early spring '12 speckled sussex.
