January and February are probably my least favorite months, especially for cooking. And now, with the cold settling staunchly in my bones, I've been making and eating quite a bit of soup. Some of my recent favorites have been: sweet potato soup; chestnut, leek and cremini soup; parsnip and ginger soup. What are your favorites to make and eat? Please share!

I like creamy butternut squash soup with a bit of curry in it, toasted sliced almonds on top. Yum!
