Still giddy from Friday night's hoop making celebration. Fantastic friends and family really brought it- a delicious array of homemade food, enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to embrace something new. Hooping madness, laughter, and smiles into the night. Joyous! An extra big *muah* and thank you to everyone who participated! Let's do it again sometime.

I just ordered DVD's level 3 & 4 and hooping with minis.  Let me know if you want to watch them and play with me.

Who's down for a hoop making party?  Everyone chips in for supplies and makes their own.  I will host.

Thanks for your response Alaska.  As for World Hoop Day, a friend and I have been practicing the WHD choreography and would love more hoopers to join us for the video.  What are you thinking of in terms of an event?  I could do something at 5 pm or later.

There's lots of hoop family here! We're all just reaaaaaalllllyyyy busy. Lots of the Hoopers are part of the Ritzy Rouge hoop troupe and the Roustabout Circus collective, who have been swamped with gigs, fairs, and hooping events all summer. Many of which have conflicted with our attendance of the ongoing sunday hoop down. Thanks for hooping in up there! There have many times that I or any of the other founding members have hooped alone, but there have also been soooooo many awesome days with huge attendance! Thanks for keeping it hooping. Please don;t be sad or disappointed; understand that there are a lot of factors playing into why attendance has decreased, but hopefully spring will revamp everyone, and we'll get our number back up. 3 of my classes that I am teaching at CNM are coming to a close in a week, so I should be able to start going to the Sunday hoop down again soon! It all goes in cycles, and we'll do our best to keep things going throughout the summer. Thanks again Nicole. :)

World Hoop Day 2011 Dance: After you learn it and teach it to everyone you know, record yourself and your group doing it on World Hoop Day.  Follow the directions on Spin Matsuri's page to send them the video.  They will edit all the footage together and release the world's biggest participatory hoop dance with you in it!

"The new hooper can’t bring themselves to put their hoop down. It can feel like falling in love for the first time all over again...The science says that if you hoop consistently, you will consistently feel good."
