This map shows all of the Albuquerque galleries that I could think of but it's nowhere near complete. I've left it open for editing by anyone so if you see an error or omission, go ahead and fix it! Here's how:
*Click on the ‘Albuquerque Gallery Map’ link beneath the map.
*Pick ‘search the map’ to enter an address or ‘find a business’ to enter a business name.
*When you see the correct address or business click ‘save to my map’ then ‘save’ at the prompts.

new mexico centennial festival series in old town

As part of an ongoing celebration of New Mexico’s Statehood Centennial, the City of Albuquerque’s Cultural Services Department is presenting a series of public programs that highlight the wide variety of musical and artistic talents throughout our community.

On Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th, Youth in the Arts theme will celebrate music, theater and dance as well as the visual arts with competitions for awards and cash prizes.

On Friday, May, 4th, from 5 – 8 p.m. Youth in the Arts will present performances by three school orchestras:

5 p.m.   Madison Middle School Orchestra

6 p.m.   Taylor Middle School Orchestra

7 p.m.   Sandia High School Orchestra

And on Saturday, May 5th, from 2 – 5 p.m., vocal groups will perform:

1 p.m.   “Voces de Coronado” Children’s Choir

2 p.m.   Sandia High School Continentals

3 p.m.   Del Norte High School Choir

4 p.m.   Interplay School of Music

5 p.m.   Coronado Elementary School Singers

Added to both day’s entertainment will be performances by single or duo performing youth entertainment throughout Old Town.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see these very talented young people who excel in the arts.

Heartwood is an edge of the seat thriller set in the high mountains where an Apache legend has come to life. Heartwood - The center of a forest. The living center of a tree. The creature that lives within them both.

I would love you to check it out.

Or go to Books by Gregory Saunders for the reel-feel books.

My name is Ryan. I'm 28 years old, and I absolutely love art. My passions range from photography to poetry to music to comics and everything in between. I am the CTE (Capturing True Emotion) Photography ABQ Facebook leader and wanted to introduce you all to the club.

ALL levels of photography are welcome, and to reiterate what is said on the CTE registration page:"Take your photography to levels never thought possible! This is an opportunity to have fun, learn and share your knowledge with others who also have a passion for photography. The objective of the CTE Photography Meetup Group is to have fun and make friends in beautiful settings, concentrating on giving and receiving shared knowledge about controlling all of the settings on your camera: light, color, metering, and composition.

Everyone is welcome to join us! Invite your friends and anyone who shares the same passion for photography as you do." With regard to the CTE mission, I hope that through this group we can sharpen each others creativity and see the world through a different perspective. I'd like to inquire as to what everyone's expectations are, as well as what types of outings would be preferable to everyone. Would anyone like to do class-like meetings either in person and/or online? Or would you prefer to meet up in different places and just try to capture the world through your lens? This is going to be our group, so I'd like to get some feedback from everyone regarding what they'd like this group to be, as well as what they'd like to learn/try with their photography. I look forward to sharing creativity with everyone!
