It was rumored that high school seniors used to steal that big red arrow as a prank.

That arrow would be at the NW corner of Carlisle and Indian School. Here's a link to Google Maps where the big red arrow is visible in Satellite view.

Hey, can any one tell me where the shopping center with the giant arrow in the parking lot was? My mother had a very good friend that lived a few blocks from there, but I can't remember where this shopping center was...thanks!

You forgot Sandia Base, now Kirtland AFB. Yes, I am an army brat. Folks ended up retiring here in Abq. Lucky for me. I remember when Montgomery Blvd. was a dirt road, Uncle Cliff's was waaaay out in the boon-docks and Rio Ranch was just a developers dream.

San Gabriel had the best keggers and cruising! Does anybody remember the Zodiac club in Barelas -corner of 4th & Bridge? It was across the street from El Cambio's grocery store. I lived next to the store on Simpier Lane.

Akira, if you haven't already contacted them, maybe the Albuquerque Museum would have info. Or maybe Cultural Services at City Hall
