I was delighted to find 5 Ruddy Ducks at the Rio Grande Nature Center and Cinnamon Teal at the Isleta and Belen Marshes.

Oh, I do need to run down to the Taco Bell Marsh now that early migration is on. Thanks for the reminder.

I did see 4 of those Ruddies at RGNC yesterday.

I thought I *might* have seen a Blue-winged Teal flying along the diversion canal today while riding my bike. Just got a glimpse, but thought I saw the white crescent on its head.
Judy - Is that unusually early, or is this the time of year they start arriving?
They usually arrive in March - and here we are. I took it as a sign that maybe spring is on its way.
